CS:GO Leaks First Information

As for now Counter Strike Global Offensive is in pre-beta state and is being played only by a few “chosen ones”.

Some information about the game by the people who have actually seen it:

  • CS:GO will provide similar gameplay experience and will keep famous maps such as Dust, Dust2, Inferno, Nuke, and Train
  • New weapons will be included such as: heavy machine gun, molotov cocktail grenade and a wide range of close combat weapons such as shotguns
  • Weapons called Decoy – will send out the sound of a gunfire thus confusing the enemy and giving the enemy to gain a much need fraction of a second
  • Every player got Kevlar on the beginning of each round

There have been some issues with the balancing of the weapons but keep in mind that game is still in development and all will be well balanced for the release in 2012 Q1.

CS Global Offensive Story Begins

CS, CSS, Valve (…) fans got their mind “blown” today. It seems that a long wait for the new Counter-Strike is finally over.

How it all started:

  1. All started with a guy named Joe Miller who posted “Been playing CS:GO at Valve all day in Seattle. Whaddup!” at his twitter account. Almost immediately the gaming population who love previous Counter-Strike series swarmed through forums and social media about the coming of the new Counter-Strike.
  2. A name is confirmed (source) by “cliffe”, confirming the name Global Offensive
  3. So it seems that the release date is set somewhere in Q1 of 2012 and will use an update Source engine

Keep in touch through RSS and bookmarks as we update everything of the new Valve’s product.

Rumor has it that in the next 24 hours, Valve, will post a press release confirming the new game.
